Agustín Waisman is a partner of Beccar Varela. He heads the firm’s Competition & Anti-Trust and Consumer Protection Departments.
His practice areas include competition and antitrust, consumer protection law and gaming.

Agustín has participated in a large number of complex acquisitions and investigations, representing clients from a vast array of industries including banking, credit cards, insurance, food, apparel, personal care products, cleaning products, pharmaceuticals, steel, mining, oil & gas, cement and construction supplies, agribusiness and agrochemicals, hotels, tourism, car rental, aeronautics, automotive and auto parts, appliances, electronics, open television services and cable, audiovisual content, telecommunications, infrastructure, investment funds, shipping and logistics.

In recent years, he has counselled the leading platforms in the online payments market, tourism services, social media, online gaming, and ecommerce marketplaces.

Agustín obtained his Law degree from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (2001) and his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Toronto, Canada (2005). He is professor of Competition Law and Intellectual Property at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. Agustin has been recognized by Chambers Latin America, The Legal 500, Who’s Who Legal, Leaders League and Latin Lawyer 250.
