Albalira Montufar is a Partner in Morgan & Morgan and Head of the Immigration practice group of the firm. Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan, Mrs. Montufar was a Partner at a consulting regional firm specializing in corporate labor counsel and related affairs.
Her expertise includes more than 10 years of legal advising to companies in matters related to immigration and labor law, including work and residence permits, visas and citizenship applications, as well as advising multinational corporations with such processes when establishing in Panama.
Mrs. Montufar holds a LL.B., Political Sciences, from Universidad de Panama; Postgraduate Degree in International Trade, and a LL.M. in Negotiation, Administration and Execution of Commercial Treaties from Universidad Latinoamericana de Comercio Exterior in Panama; and a LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from the George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C.
Mrs. Montufar is admitted to practice law in the Republic of Panama.
