Profile
Jan represents all categories of health care providers. Her clients include hospitals, home health agencies, hospice organizations, skilled nursing facilities, intermediate care facilities, clinics and other health care facilities. Jan frequently provides advice to her clients on operational issues related to regulatory compliance and risk management, and assists clients with responses to federal and state regulatory enforcement actions. She also assists clients with the preparation and filing of state and federal application forms to effect changes of ownership, the addition of new licenses or programs, or to report changes to existing licenses and certifications.
Jan has been active in the California Association of Health Facilities (CAHF) for many years and serves as a member of CAHF's legal subcommittee. Prior to practicing law, Jan was a licensed nursing home administrator for a 120-bed skilled nursing facility owned and operated by a California multi-facility organization, where she later directed the operations of its convalescent division.
