Jibrin is an Associate in the firm’s Tax, Dispute Resolution, Banking and Finance, and Environmental Law Practice Groups.

He advises both local and foreign clients on Nigerian taxes including payroll taxes, petroleum profits tax, corporate income tax, personal income tax, capital gains tax, customs duties, stamp duties and value added tax. He also represents several international oil companies and other multinational companies in tax litigations at both the Tax Appeal Tribunal and superior courts of records in Nigeria.

His Banking and Finance practice is focused on the e-payment industry and he is part of the team advising a leading global card scheme on its Nigerian operations. He also advises a broad range of clients on the regulatory and exchange control issues that affect inward investment, repatriation of profits and capital.

As a member of the Environmental Law practice group, he has advised a leading international oil company on the various HSE legislation of the oil and gas industry. He was also part of the team that acted for the Department of Petroleum Resources in a review of its environmental guidelines and standards governing the HSE activities of the 0il and gas industry.
