Adeoluwa is a Senior Associate in the Intellectual Property and Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) Practice Groups at AELEX.
He provides regular counsel to both local and international clients on matters relating to trademarks, copyrights, designs, patents, film production, music and technology.
His expertise encompasses a wide range of services, including IP advisory, IP portfolio management, IP anti-counterfeiting, Franchise, distribution, brand enforcement and protection, music catalogue acquisition, music publishing, legal technology, data protection compliance, investment advisory and venture practice.
His experience extends to both domestic and international transactions involving prominent global and local brands. He represents clients in opposition cases and provides assistance with the registration and renewal processes of trademarks, designs, and patents.
He manages the trademark portfolio of different local and international companies, including Lenovo, AFEX Commodities and Exchange Limited, MTN Group Management Services (Proprietary) Limited, Global Citizen and Splash Corporation.
In addition, he advises companies on several deals including music licensing, investment syndicate deals, fund formation, film production/funding slates, and image licensing. He was a member of the team that drafted the Nigeria Startup Act and the Creative Industries Development Bill.
