Aleandro Mifsud is an Associate within the Shipping and Aviation department at Mamo TCV Advocates. He joined the firm in April 2023. Having read his Law degree at the University of Malta, Aleandro was conferred a Bachelor of Laws graduate in 2018, after having submitted his thesis entitled ‘Conflict of Law Issues in the Ranking of Maritime Creditors – A Comparative Analysis’. He then completed a Master of Advocacy degree in 2019.

He went on to pursue an LLM in International Shipping Law at Queen Mary University of London, where he graduated with distinction in October 2020 after defending his dissertation entitled “The Legal Implications of Unmanned Vessels at Sea with particular focus on the SOLAS Convention.” While in London, he was selected to present his dissertation as Queen Mary University of London’s representative at the highly prestigious Maritime Masters 2020, placing third overall.

In addition to his legal pursuits, Aleandro is also a semi-professional waterpolo player with Barracudas Sports Club and serves as the Secretary General of the Malta Beach Soccer Association.

Regularly assists the Head of Department of Transport with aviation, shipping and yachting matter including aircraft and yacht registration, AOC and AOL applications and sale and purchase transactions amongst others
Maltese counsel to various banks, financers, lessors and operators in the aviation and maritime sectors
Advised on the acquisition of significant interests in a number of aircraft operators and the restructuring thereof.
