Profile
Andy Liu protects his clients’ new ideas using his deep knowledge in intellectual property (IP) law, including patent law and trademark law.
Andy has managed patent portfolios for public companies in technologies such as search engines, advertising algorithms, social network applications, medical/surgical devices, Groupon-style e-commerce systems, connected TVs, location services, and image processing.
Andy has also helped software and consumer electronics startup companies on their IP strategies, such as protecting both the function and look and feel of their products using utility and design patent applications, and organizing IP assets in preparation of business acquisition or legal threats.
