Alex’s practice focuses on asset-based transactions, structured finance and other topics related to corporate finance.

Alex is an associate in the structured finance and securitization practice. He has worked across a broad range of asset-backed transactions, representing and advising issuers, underwriters, borrowers, lenders, rating agencies, mortgage servicers, private equity funds, investment banks and private individuals in transactions involving a variety of structures. He has worked with various asset classes on these transactions, including spread in mortgage servicing rights, excess servicing spread, residential mortgage-backed facilities, mortgage backed securities, mortgage loan reinsurance and business loans.

Prior to joining Hunton, Alex was an intern at the US Attorney’s office of the Eastern District of New York, Civil Division, as well as at a major record label.

Representative Experience

  • Advised investment management firm in connection with structuring, negotiation and issuance of $2 billion of asset-backed notes backed by senior secured loans to middle market companies.
  • Represented investment bank in the creation of master trust structure for the financing of Fannie Mae mortgage servicing rights, including the issuance of $450 million of term notes.
  • Represented initial purchasers in credit risk transfer transactions involving Government-Sponsored Entities and private mortgage insurers.
  • Represented lenders to an early-stage startup company to finance the acquisition of fleet of automobiles.
