Profile
Amaan has a breadth of experience advising on share and asset acquisitions and dispositions and other complex business transactions involving Canadian, U.S. and international stakeholders. He has advised and led large legal teams on transactions of all sizes, from mid-market to multibillion dollar, involving more than 20 countries and a variety of industries, including technology, infrastructure, food and beverage, forestry, manufacturing, insurance, consumer goods, mining, energy, utilities, real estate, hotels, and services. He is also relied upon for his expertise in securing competition and foreign investment approvals on complex M&A transactions.
Amaan represents a broad range of clients from entrepreneurs to private equity firms, multi-national corporations and institutional investors. He regularly works with institutional clients in the public sector, particularly pension plans and other tax-exempt entities, with respect to their structuring activities and their infrastructure, real estate and private equity investments. Beyond his transactional practice, he drafts, negotiates and advises on structuring and corporate governance matters and ongoing business operations.
