Profile
Mr. Li has been working at Han Kun Law Offices since January 2005, where he specializes in public and private financings (equity and debt), mergers and acquisitions, incorporation and corporate restructuring, foreign direct investment, and intellectual property protection. He has represented many Chinese and international companies in a wide variety of cross-border transactions in different industries such as telecommunications, the Internet, information technology, energy, clean technology, consumer goods, healthcare, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals. Mr. Li is knowledgeable of PRC industry policies, corporate structure, capital operation, financial planning, and investment and project management.
From August 2001 to December 2004, Mr. Li was a partner at T&C Law Offices in Beijing. Prior to that, he was a founder and general counsel of Bookoo, Inc., a pioneer in the e-book marketplace and one of the first Internet companies in Greater China to emphasize the management of intellectual property rights. Before founding Bookoo, Mr. Li spent over four years working for Cha & Cha, an international law firm specializing in telecommunications, Internet, technology and joint venture law. He also completed an internship at Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP in Ottawa in 2003, and has gained valuable corporate governance experience through being a board director of two publicly traded companies in the USA.
Mr. Li has written numerous academic and professional articles that have been widely published internationally and in Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Education
Mr. Li received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics in 1995 and an LL.B. Degree in 1996 from Peking University. In 1999, he obtained an LL.M. Degree from Peking University. He also received an LL.M. Degree from the University of Ottawa in 2003.
