David Rutter has a national business practice primarily focused in the areas of business acquisitions and dispositions, real estate and real estate finance, commercial finance, project development, credit enhancements, business formation, joint ventures, and partnerships. In addition, David has extensive experience in energy and alternative energy transactions, including biodiesel facilities, oil and natural gas facilities, micro-grids, and CHP facilities.

Representative clients include major healthcare systems, banks, life insurance companies, institutional investors, developers, national retailers, and publicly traded energy companies. David frequently handles larges multi-state transactions and multi-year year development programs for corporate clients. For example, he was a part of a team at Bradley that assisted the equity investment group at Lincoln National Life Insurance Company with acquisitions, dispositions and credit enhancements exceeding $2 billion.

David has been listed in Chambers USA from 2003-2018. He is also listed in The Best Lawyers in America^® for Real Estate Law for 2019 and was listed in the Nashville Business Journal's “Best of the Bar” for Real Estate in 2012.
