Profile
Emily Hopper is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group.
Prior to joining Bradley, Emily served as a law clerk for the Hon. R. Austin Huffaker, Jr. and the Hon. Emily C. Marks of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama.
Emily received her J.D. (cum laude) from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where she was acquisitions editor for the Cumberland Law Review, chief justice of the Henry Upson Sims Moot Court Board, and a four-time Scholar of Merit. Emily was named Best Oralist in the Donworth 1L Moot Court Competition and the Gordon T. Saad Moot Court Competition, and won second place in the James O. Haley Federal Trial Competition. In 2018, Emily won the First Place Oralist award at the Manhattan Regionals of the American Bar Association’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition.
Emily has a B.S. (summa cum laude) in Legal Assistant Studies from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Alabama, where she was a three-time national champion in competitive public speaking.
Before practicing law, Emily worked in mental health, owned a small business, and managed seven franchisee locations for a Southeastern-based franchisor. Her background in business and agency operations gives Emily a real-world understanding of the issues faced by the firm’s clients and how to best achieve successful outcomes.
