Eugenio Grippo specializes in financial transactions and in corporate matters with special emphasis on their financial aspects. His main areas of practice include: joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions together with project financing.

Eugenio has  long-standing experience in the energy industry, having advised on a number of electricity, oil and gas projects, starting from oil and gas upstream development in the ‘70s, main gas pipelines in the ‘80s, electricity privatisation in the ‘90s and currently Renewables.

A partner in Italy’s first partnership of lawyers in Italy from 1973 to 1985, he founded Studio Grippo & Associati in Milan and Rome, and formed a joint-venture firm in 1993 with a prominent British law firm followed by full merger in 1997.  He joined the firm in 2001. 

He holds a Law degree from the University “La Sapienza” of Rome.

He is a member of the Italian Bar, and is qualified to act before the Corte di Cassazione (Italian Supreme Court).

He is the co-author of the text book “Manuale Breve del Diritto dell’Energia”, CEDAM, 2008.

He speaks Italian and English.
