Ilaria Placco specializes in Mergers and Acquisitions with a special focus on private equity. She also handles Corporate and Commercial Law, advising domestic and multinational companies, investment banks and private equity funds in domestic and multi-jurisdictional transactions. She has developed broad experience in structuring and negotiating acquisition agreements, joint venture agreements, shareholders’ agreements and commercial agreements across a wide range of industries. She also assists clients in day-to-day legal advice on corporate and commercial issues.

Ilaria began her law career as a visiting lawyer with Brick Court Chambers in Brussels in 1997 and joined the firm in 1999.  She was made partner in 2008. 

She is a member of the Italian Bar and the Italian Alumni Association of the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she served as the Secretary of the Executive Committee.

She speaks Italian, English and French.
