James M. Golden is a litigation and compliance attorney, with a focus on class action defense, consumer financial services litigation and compliance, commercial litigation, toxic torts, and environmental litigation.

Mr. Golden defends financial institutions against lawsuits alleging violations of consumer protection laws, and regularly advises captive automotive finance companies and other lenders on how to comply with state and federal laws governing the origination and servicing of automotive loans and leases. Mr. Golden also has substantial experience in general commercial litigation, toxic torts, and defending companies against suits by private and public entities alleging environmental contamination of properties.
