Jean Makaka is an Associate at ENS in Kenya.

Jean specializes in banking and finance, project finance and corporate commercial law.  

Her experience includes advising a wide range of clients, including development finance institutions, banks and microfinance institutions on the laws and regulations related to banking and finance, structuring and restructuring finance transactions and participating in due diligence reviews of financial transactions. Her practice experience includes syndicated lending, structured finance, project finance, due diligence and general regulatory compliance in Kenya.

In addition, Jean is also experienced in Corporate Commercial Law. She has a strong understanding of corporate laws, regulations and best practices. She has advised clients on a wide range of employment-related matters, including drafting employment agreements, advising clients on compliance issues, providing guidance on terminations, and advising on workplace policies and procedures.

Jean is a member of the Law Society of Kenya.
