Profile

Judd Harwood focuses his practice on representing and advising healthcare clients in connection with a variety of corporate transactions, including entity formation, mergers and acquisition, divestitures, joint ventures, private placements and other strategic transactions. In addition, he advises clients with respect to day-to-day corporate governance matters and commercial contracts. His clients include publicly traded, for-profit and non-profit healthcare systems, community hospitals, academic medical centers, children’s hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers, hospice, home health and other post-acute providers, management service organizations (MSOs), dental service organizations (DSOs), urgent care providers, and multi and single specialty medical practices.

In addition to his transactional work, Judd works closely with healthcare providers on regulatory and operational matters, including compliance with Federal and state anti-kickback and self-referral laws, licensure rules and regulations and information privacy and security (state law and HIPAA) issues. He also has extensive experience advising clients in the areas of healthcare information technology, telemedicine and telehealth issues.
