Katea Ravega is a partner and health care lawyer at Quarles & Brady LLP. She practices in regulatory compliance, health care technology/telemedicine, and health care transactions. Katea is the Health and Life Sciences Group Office Chair in the Indianapolis office. Prior to joining the firm, Katea served as Chief Compliance Officer and in-house counsel with a health care technology start-up and pharmacy.

• A former compliance officer, Katea provides practical, business aware support for health care compliance programs and strategies to manage compliance program risks

• Automation and technology implementation, including remote dispensing and telepharmacy, regulating use of robots, multi-dose dispensing, and compliance packaging


• Counsels app developers and others about health care regulatory requirements, partnership development, and data privacy and security, including HIPAA and other laws regulating their data


• Advises clients around credentialing and licensure requirements when entering into tele-dietician and telemedicine arrangements


• Drafts and negotiates agreements relating to telehealth provider arrangements and partnerships

Health Care Transactions Experience

• Drafts and negotiates agreements relating to the purchase of, sale of, or investment in health care entities or lines of business


• Due diligence for transactions involving the sale, purchase, or investment in regulated health care businesses
