Kathleen Lemmens focuses on M&A in special situations and turnarounds . Her work involves advising financial institutions, private equity clients and industrial players in connection with a variety of transaction types, including buying business from insolvency procedures, NPL trading, equity and hybrid issues, debt-to-equity swaps, corporate restructuring and regulatory work.

She advises several special situations funds and financial intermediaries on investments and regulatory issues. She also advised clients on structuring and implementing investment schemes, in Italy and abroad, and on compliance-related issues.

Kathleen obtained an undergraduate degree in law (candidature en droit) at the Université Notre Dame de la Paix (Namur, Belgium) and graduated in law at the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium). She also studied at the Humboldt University in Berlin (Germany) and has obtained a master in corporate finance from the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium).

Kathleen joined the firm in 2009 after having worked at a leading international law firm, in Italy and in Belgium. She is dually qualified as a Belgian and Italian lawyer and admitted to the Brussels and Milan Bar.

She speaks Italian, English, French, Dutch and German.
