Lukas Fellmann is a managing associate in the Litigation and Arbitration Team in Zurich.
A dual British-Swiss citizen, Lukas Fellmann represents clients in complex, often cross-border, disputes. He has acted as counsel, arbitrator and secretary in numerous commercial arbitration proceedings. His expertise extends to both institutional arbitrations (e.g. ICC, LCIA and Swiss Rules) and ad hoc arbitrations. Lukas Fellmann also offers strategic pre-litigation advice and assists clients before state courts both in the German and French speaking regions of Switzerland. He notably has experience in the construction, pharmaceutical, financial and energy sectors as well as with other multi-faceted commercial issues.
Born in 1989, Lukas Fellmann holds law degrees from the universities of Fribourg (Switzerland) and Humboldt (Germany). During his studies, he worked as a research assistant for Prof. Pierre Tercier in the field of international arbitration and as an intern at a major German pharmaceutical company in Osaka (Japan). Before joining Walder Wyss, he also gained work experience as a legal trainee in a major business law firm in Zurich and Geneva where he maintained a broad cross-border arbitration and litigation practice. He was admitted to the Geneva and Swiss bar in 2017.
Lukas Fellmann regularly publishes in the field of international arbitration and is a speaker at international conferences in Switzerland and abroad. He was selected as the first Zurich-based lawyer to serve as the ICC Young Arbitration and ADR Forum (YAAF) Representative for Europe and Central Asia for the 2024-2026 term.
Furthermore, Lukas Fellmann has been recognized by clients and peers as a future leader in the field of arbitration, qualifying him as a “highly talented lawyer” (Who’s Who Legal Arbitration 2023).
