Profile
Marnie A. Holz is senior counsel in the Litigation practice group at Greenspoon Marder LLP. She concentrates her practice in all areas of general commercial and insurance-related matters, with a special focus on aviation-related litigation, from pre-litigation investigation through resolution.
Ms. Holz has represented her clients in matters concerning contractual disputes, aircraft purchase and lease agreements, and policies of insurance and reinsurance. Additionally, Ms. Holz advises her clients on compliance with the various regulations issued by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and she frequently prepares license applications to engage in restricted transactions under those regulations.
Furthermore, Ms. Holz has significant experience representing foreign and domestic commercial air carriers and component part manufacturers in civil litigation arising out of catastrophic losses and personal injury matters. Ms. Holz has also defended airport operators, aircraft owners and lessors, FAA-approved repair facilities, aerospace products manufacturers, and other entities in the general aviation field. Ms. Holz’s practice also covers general commercial litigation and insurance coverage and defense, and her representation often touches on international concerns requiring the application of principles of public and private international law.
Ms. Holz graduated from the University of Chicago Law School in 2012 and she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007. During law school, Ms. Holz was an active participant in the Criminal and Juvenile Justice Clinic working with lawyers and social work professionals to represent disadvantaged children and young adults in the criminal justice system while at the same time addressing their social, psychological, and educational needs.
