Profile
Mary Nobles Hancock is an associate in the firm’s Corporate and Securities Practice Group. Her practice is focused on representing public and private companies in a variety of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, business entity formation, securities offerings and compliance, financing transactions, and corporate reorganizations.
Mary Nobles advises public companies regarding compliance with federal and state securities laws, reporting and disclosure obligations, compliance with stock exchange rules, Section 16 reporting obligations, and shareholder activism. She regularly advises clients on ESG (environmental, social, and governance) disclosures and related internal processes.
Mary Nobles graduated (magna cum laude) from Washington and Lee University School of Law. She served as executive editor of the Washington and Lee Law Review and received the Roy L. Steinheimer Law Review Award for best student Note. While in law school, she also served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Elizabeth K. Dillon of the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia.
Prior to law school, Mary Nobles earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human and Organizational Development and Child Studies from Vanderbilt University.
