Oscar Benavides specializes in mining law, mining projects finance, and mergers & acquisitions.
He focuses his practice on transactional and regulatory work for mining projects. He has over 20 years of experience advising clients on project finance and M&A, as well as structuring, negotiating and executing exploration, joint venture and mining project investment contracts.
He has been consistently recognized as a leading mining lawyer by international and local publications of the likes of Legal500, Chambers & Partners, Latin Lawyer, among others; and is included in the “Global Elite Thought Leader 2022” list by Who’s Who Legal amongst the most renowned mining practitioners in the world.
