Simin's practice is primarily focused on mergers and acquisitions, cross border transactions, technology-based transactions, corporate securities and general corporate matters. He assists clients in connection with complex mergers and acquisitions (both on the buyer and seller side), especially those that contain a technology or international component and corporate securities matters, especially those that involve capital raises through public or private equity or debt. He has represented clients in transactions in a number of jurisdictions, including, US, China, Japan, Canada, Ireland, Norway, Turkey, Oman, Gabon, Cayman Islands, the British Virgin Islands and many more. Whether the client is a public or private company focused on energy, biotechnology, software, chemical manufacturing, or distribution, Simin is able to provide insightful legal advice to help a transaction reach a satisfactory conclusion for his clients.
Simin is also an Ambassador for the Houston Bar Association. He is a member of the Houston Association for Corporate Growth and volunteers at The Center Houston, a non-profit that specializes in improving the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
