Tae focuses on complex insurance litigation. He represents corporate clients seeking coverage under CGL, D&O and E&O policies.

Tae litigates complex insurance disputes in both state and federal courts. He has represented a wide range of corporate policyholders in several different industries, including retail clothing, tax, food and beverage, project finance, and more. Tae’s practice focuses on advising corporate policyholders on insurance coverage issues arising under several kinds of policies, including commercial general liability, directors and officers, professional liability/errors and omissions, excess, umbrella and others.

Tae is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Texas, and the US District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Western and Eastern Districts of Texas. Tae was a Teach for America Corps Member prior to attending law school and maintains a steady pro bono practice.

Experience

• Gained first-chair experience taking and defending depositions.

• Convinced insurance companies to reverse their initial denial of coverage to policyholders.
• Helped secure a settlement of over half a million dollars at mediation for a client under a corporate aircraft policy.
• Persuaded an insurer to reverse its initial determination that it did not have a duty to defend its insured against a copyright infringement action.
• Aided in the settlement of a dispute at mediation by persuading multiple insurers to participate in the defense of a church against an underlying lawsuit.
• Prosecuted offenses for the City of Arlington, Texas.
• Represented respondents pro bono in asylum cases.
• Advised pro bono clients in landlord-tenant and general commercial disputes and secured favorable settlements for them.
