Career highlights

• Acting for local government in the Queensland Planning & Environment Court to secure merits appeal outcomes that confirm planning scheme strategies for local government in its new growth areas.
• Negotiating and drafting an infrastructure agreement for a developer client providing over $30 million of public infrastructure as part of a 3000+ lot residential subdivision on the Gold Coast.
• Being part of an ongoing secondment to a local government client in its development compliance team and being on the coal face of investigations into unlawful development, including vegetation clearing, earthworks and unlawful land use.
• Acting for a New South Wales developer client appealing a development application refusal involving more than 4 government entity respondents and co-ordinating an agreed outcome across all parties through mediation.
• Acting for a private individual in defence of tree clearing charges in an urban area of Sydney on private and public land and facing fines of more than $1 million.
