Ms. Xiaowei Wei's practice focuses on patent law. She has extensive experience in
patent prosecution, reexamination, counseling, invalidation and litigation. The
technical fields in which Ms. Wei works include digital communications, computers,
semiconductors, consumer electronics, signal processing, artificial intelligence, etc.
Ms. Wei has helped many well-known global companies to obtain nearly a thousand
patents in China, and has provided them with valuable advice for patent prosecution
strategies in China. She has also helped a number of Chinese companies obtain
patents in Europe, the United States and other countries.
Ms. Wei leads several teams of patent attorneys to provide tailor-made service for wellknown multinational clients. Ms. Wei keeps in close contact with clients, analyzes the
features of their cases and gives strategic advice. She actively assesses the quality of
her teams’ work products, helps improve their capabilities, and ensures that they can
effectively respond to specific client requirements. Ms. Wei also specializes in
making specifications and workflows according to client preferences, and adjusts the
focus and manner of work according to client feedback. In this way, Ms. Wei’s teams
are able to provide optimal legal services to clients so that they can obtain valuable,
high-quality patents.
Ms. Wei has also represented clients in patent invalidation proceedings and
administrative litigations before the Patent Reexamination Board and the courts. She
has successfully handled a number of cases which have drawn public attention.
Before joining Han Kun Law Office, Ms. Wei worked at CCPIT Patent and Trademark
Law Office as a patent attorney for 13 years.
