Profile
Brittany counsels multinational companies in commercial disputes in state and federal court, with a focus on insurance matters.
Brittany represents clients in complex commercial matters involving contractual disputes and tort claims. She has experience in pretrial litigation, including e-discovery, motions practice, deposition assistance, and alternative dispute resolution.
Brittany also maintains an active pro bono practice where she represents clients in defensive asylum removal proceedings.
Prior to joining the firm, Brittany served as a legal intern for the District of Columbia United States Attorney’s Office, National Security Division, and was a student attorney for the Criminal Justice Clinic at American University Washington College of Law.
Relevant Experience
- Represented multinational companies in obtaining indemnity under vendor agreements and insurance coverage under general liability policies for personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits.
- Represented clients in litigating breach of contract claims against their respective brokers and insurers in both Virginia state and federal court.
- Represented a non-profit foundation in an insurance coverage dispute under a general liability policy in Virginia federal court.
- Assisted in the representation of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia in an Independent Review of how the City prepared for and responded to protest events in 2017.
