Profile
Prof. Dr. Bruno Peeters is full professor and former dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Antwerp. He is also assessor at the Legislation Section of the Council of State. He studied law (Lic. Iuris, 1982) and philosophy (Bac. Philosophy, 1979) at the University of Antwerp where he also obtained his PhD (1988) and where he is up till now Member of the Board of Directors, initiator and director of the Master of Tax Law and of the Antwerp Tax Academy.
Bruno Peeters is member of the Antwerp Bar and joined the firm in 2004. His practice covers all Belgian taxes relevant for estate planning and corporate transactions with special focus on state owned enterprises.
For many years he is member of the European Association of Tax Law Professors and of the International Fiscal Association and member of the board of editors of EC-Tax Review, the "Algemeen Fiscaal Tijdschrift" and "Fiscale Jurisprudentie", Jurisprudence Fiscale".
He is also (co) founder and (co-)editor of the Tax Library and the Library on Tax Principles edited by Larcier
Bruno Peeters is also a regular speaker at conferences and seminars and author of various books and articles on tax issues and economic public law.
