Profile

Cindy’s practice focuses on the development and financing of energy projects, with an emphasis on renewable energy assets.

As a part of the firm’s energy and infrastructure team, Cindy assists clients in all aspects of the development and financing of renewable energy projects across the United States. Cindy has represented financial institutions in connection with their investments into renewal energy assets. Her work includes assisting in the drafting and negotiation of all major transaction documents.

Prior to joining Hunton Andrews Kurth, Cindy served as an associate in the project development and finance group of an international law firm, where she represented financial institutions and sponsors in domestic and international project financings in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Relevant Experience

  • Counsel to sponsor in the limited recourse project financing of a portfolio of wind and solar energy projects in Mexico with a combined capacity of approximately 721 MW.
  • Counsel to lead arrangers on an approximately $160 million bridge financing in connection with the construction and operation of an LNG import and related 380 MW net dual-fuel fired combined cycle power plant in Panama.
  • Tax Equity Counsel for the tax equity investment in a portfolio of residential solar energy projects located throughout the United States.
  • Counsel to JPMorgan Capital Corporation and Morgan Stanley in connection with their role as tax equity owners of a portfolio of four Gamesa wind farms totaling over 400 MW located in Illinois, Iowa, Pennsylvania and Texas.
  • Tax Equity counsel to GE Energy Financial Services on its tax equity investments in a portfolio of wind projects in the US.
  • Tax Equity Counsel for the financing of the 300 MW solar generating and 144 MW energy storage Daggett 3 Solar Project in San Bernardino, CA.
  • Counsel to JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., as lead arranger, in connection with the bridge financing of the approximately $1.3 billion contemplated acquisition of a Chilean power transmission line company.
