Daniel is an associate in the corporate team based in London. He advises on fund formation, structuring, management and cross-border financings involving Guernsey companies in addition to general M&A, corporate and commercial transactions. Daniel enjoys working as a team with UK and international onshore law firms and clients to deliver on complex and high value projects.

Recent key work highlights include:

• Acting as lead Guernsey counsel on the launch of two registered and authorised closed ended collective investment schemes for a global based investment manager;
• Acting as Guernsey counsel on the launch of a Guernsey joint-venture structure and £60m acquisition financing for an international real estate investment firm in respect of the acquisition of a London based residential site;
• Acting as Guernsey borrower counsel on a circa £85 million net asset value fund financing;
• Acting as Guernsey borrower counsel on the accession of a Guernsey company to a circa $5 billion New York law governed facility agreement;
• Acting as lead counsel on the sale of a Guernsey-based reinsurance company; and
• Assisting with the solvent winding up and restructing of a large real estate group.

Daniel gained six years of onshore experience in corporate, real estate and project finance transactions as a paralegal, trainee and eventually a qualified solicitor at two leading UK law firms prior to returning to his home island of Guernsey and joining Carey Olsen in March 2021.
