Profile
David Baxter is a Partner in the Firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department. He is head of the Firm's Corporate Recovery & Insolvency Unit. In addition, David's practice includes commercial litigation and employment law.

In 2004, David advised the bondholders of Eurofood IFSC Limited in their successful challenge at the High Court regarding the recognition of main insolvency proceedings under the EU Insolvency Regulation. He has advised on the majority of significant corporate collapses in Ireland over the last 5 years including: Irish Fertilisers Industries Limited; Chorus Communications Limited; TransAer Airlines; 360networks Limited; Lissadell Towels Limited; R.& B. O'Connor Construction Limited; Key Tech Enclosures Limited; and Saturn Fulfilment Services Limited.

David is highly recommended in PLC's Restructuring and Insolvency Cross Border Handbook 2005/06. He is also recommended for Insolvency and Restructuring in IFLR1000, 2005.

David is a member of INSOL Europe and the International Bar Association's Insolvency, Restructuring and Creditors' Rights Group. He is an overseas member of the (UK) Insolvency Lawyers Association.

Education

David is a law graduate from Trinity College Dublin and is a qualified solicitor in the jurisdictions of England & Wales (1995) and Northern Ireland (1996), as well as the Republic of Ireland (1998).
