• Conducted litigation, including drafting proceedings, briefing counsel, preparing for trial and appearing in Court on all interlocutory hearings and some arguments on behalf of the bank.
• Led the local legal services team to becoming a national practice, providing advice to east coast departments such as the Security Documentation Group, Consumer Credit and Collections, Deceased Estates Finalisations, Group Customer Relations and Bank Guarantees teams.
• Provided expert advice to the bank on a range of areas including banking, insolvency, securities, debt recovery, security enforcement, litigation, trust issues, branch network queries, ombudsman complaints and insurance claims.
• Recognised expertise in securities, including real property mortgages and personal property securities, priority and enforcement, and tripartite agreements.
