David’s practice centers on complex business disputes, with a focus on insurance coverage counseling and litigation. He has experience in both federal and state courts.

David has worked on a wide array of insurance disputes related to cyberinsurance, reinsurance, and commercial general liability insurance, including the duty to defend and duty to settle.

During law school, David represented low-income housing plaintiffs in disputes against their landlords and taught trial practice to local high school students. He also interned for the Honorable Rudolph Contreras in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia and the Honorable George W. Maxwell in the 18th Judicial Circuit of Florida.

After law school, David clerked for the Honorable Robert L. Hinkle in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida.

Relevant Experience

  • Successfully opposed an insurer’s pretrial motion to preclude evidence of its principal-agent relationship with a broker in a declaratory action arising out of a boat insurance policy.
  • Member of multi-office litigation team that obtained a complete victory in the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas for a client in an insurance coverage dispute.
