Davina provides expert advice on Mauritian tax aspects of corporate transactions, including acquisitions, mergers, and restructurings. She also conducts tax due diligence assessments and advises on tax planning strategies for high-net-worth individuals. Her extensive experience includes handling tax assessments and successfully negotiating with tax authorities to resolve disputes. Davina is also well-versed in tax compliance matters, covering payroll taxes, VAT, CRS, and FATCA. In her previous roles, she managed portfolios for clients such as public interest entities, corporate groups with complex tax structures, multinational enterprises, and high-net-worth individuals.
With a strong background in UK tax, Davina is a member of the UK's Chartered Institute of Taxation. She began her career in the UK with BDO LLP, later moving to Moore Stephens LLP as a senior manager. She specialised in tax dispute resolutions in the UK, focussing on offshore tax matters, complex tax avoidance arrangements under HM Revenue & Customs (“HMRC”) Code of Practice 8 and civil fraud investigations under HMRC’s Contractual Disclosure Facility.
