Denisha Govender is a Senior Associate at ENS in the Banking and Finance practice.

Denisha specialises in financial services law and regulation.

Her experience includes advising various local and foreign financial institutions on a wide range of topics including corporate restructures, financing transactions, pension fund compliance and governance, the impact of general South African legal developments on financial institutions, promotion of foreign collective investment schemes in South Africa, compliance with South Africa’s anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing regime, transfers of insurance business, as well as the regulation of unclaimed benefits in South Africa.

In addition, Denisha is also experienced in advising on a range of commercial and corporate matters, including corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, drafting, reviewing, and implementing transaction documents, due diligence investigations, as well as reviewing and advising on general legislation and has advised clients in the financial, retail, transport and logistics, telecommunications as well as the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors and/or industries.

Denisha is a member of the Legal Practice Council of South Africa and the Golden Key Society.
