Profile
Dennis is counsel in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in the Orange County office of Haynes and Boone, LLP. His practice focuses on the acquisition, management and enforcement of intellectual property rights.
Prior to joining Haynes and Boone, Dennis spent more than 7 years in-house at Conexant Systems, Inc., a fabless semiconductor company in Orange County, CA. Dennis joined Conexant as its IP Counsel responsible for managing the company’s patent and trademark portfolios, directing patent litigation and managing IP issues in the Company’s M&A transactions. He served as the company’s general counsel from 2011 to 2014, managing all of the company’s legal issues including litigation, IP procurement and prosecution, commercial agreements, labor and employment, and corporate governance matters.
Before joining Conexant, Dennis practiced as a patent prosecutor and litigator at major international law firms where he represented his clients in patent and technology-related litigation and counseled his clients in the development and implementation of intellectual property strategies. His technical experience covers a wide range of electrical, mechanical and computer-related technologies including wireless communications systems, consumer electronics and semiconductors.
