Facing regulatory investigations and litigation before state and federal agencies and courts requires the right industry experience. Edrei's financial services background helps her to understand her clients' business needs and goals when defending them from complex financial services and business litigation claims.

Edrei represents the nation’s leading banks and mortgage services in consumer finance litigation in regulatory enforcement actions brought by federal and state banking agencies, including matters involving consumer protection, mortgage lending and consumer disputes. She has extensive experience handling matters in the financial services industry including those pertaining to consumer financial services, consumer protection, fair lending, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Edrei regularly advises consumer financial services clients on a wide variety of legal issues including the federal consumer financial protection laws – especially the Truth in Lending Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and Equal Credit Opportunity Act. She also advises clients on all federal and state regulatory matters for banking and consumer financial services. Edrei also counsels clients on implementation of the TILA-RESPA integrated disclosures, and other residential mortgage compliance matters, unfair, deceptive or abusive acts or practices (UDAAP) risk, and on investigations and enforcement actions by the CFPB and other federal and state agencies.

Her litigation experience also includes advising clients on all aspects of federal and state antitrust and competition law and the representation of clients at trial and before federal antitrust agencies. She also has experience representing clients in securities and insurance matters.

Edrei clerked for the Honorable Marcia G. Cooke of the Southern District of Florida. She is also an active member of South Florida’s civic community. Edrei is a member of the US National Committee for UN Women, Junior League of Miami and Slow Food Miami.

  • Represented national bank in anti-money laundering litigation.
  • Represented Fortune 500 banking and financial services company in lender-based litigation matters.
  • Represented multi-billion dollar conglomerate of private global enterprises in complex commercial litigation.
  • Represented one of the largest electric utilities in the United States in complex commercial litigation.
  • Defended substantive merger investigations in a wide range of industries including plastic packaging, life sciences, x-ray detection equipment, alcoholic beverages and food texturants/additives.
  • Advised and counsel clients on matters related to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, Sherman Act and HSR compliance.
