Profile
Emmanuel M. Lombos is a member of the firm's Litigation Department.
He has acted as Philippine litigation counsel for, among others, the Government of the United States, First Pacific Group, Philip Morris International, Keppel Group of Singapore, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd., Sumitomo Corporation, IMPSA of Argentina, and BMW, as well as state-owned enterprises of various countries. He has argued and won precedent-setting cases for these and other major multinational corporations before the Philippine Supreme Court. He has also acted as litigation counsel for various parties, including the Philippine Government and top U.S., European and Philippine corporations in various domestic and foreign arbitrations.
Mr. Lombos has published various articles, including the Philippine Chapter of Aspatore Books' International Product Liability Law: A Worldwide Desk Reference (2003).
He has lectured in various fora, the latest being on “Domestic Commercial Dispute Resolution” at the APEC Strengthening Economic Legal Infrastructure Initiative Seminars in Commercial Laws. He is an accredited Mandatory Continuing Legal Education lecturer on Arbitration and Dispute Resolution.
Mr. Lombos has been repeatedly named as one of Asia's and the Philippines' leading litigators by various legal publications, including Asialaw, Euromoney Publications, International Financial Law Review, Who's Who Legal, and Chambers and Partners.
