Emmanuel Sauzier is an Associate at ENS in Mauritius.
Emmanuel specialises in Employment, Insurance law and White Collar Crime.
His litigation practice includes advising clients in different sectors of activity on dispute resolution generally as well as pre-litigation matters and strategy. He regularly appears before and represent the clients’ interests before different judicial fora, including the Supreme Court of Mauritius and statutory tribunals.
Emmanuel’s employment law practice requires him to advise and assist clients, usually employers, at all stages of the contractual relationship, starting with pre-recruitment process, advising on and drafting employment agreements, advising on issues such as gross misconduct or poor performance amongst other aspects of labour law. Emmanuel further assists clients in disciplinary proceedings and any negotiations arising therefrom, and advises on disciplinary action, which may include termination of employment. He further regularly appears before the Industrial Court of Mauritius and other statutory tribunals, such as the Employment Relations Tribunal, the Equal Opportunities Tribunal or the Redundancy Board. Emmanuel also has extensive exposure to occupational safety and health challenges arising in the employment context.
In addition, Emmanuel is also experienced in advising on insurance law matters and regularly appears before different Courts on behalf of one of the major insurance providers on the Mauritian market and has further advised and represented clients in the tourism and hospitality, health care, real estate and textile sectors amongst others.
