Prior to joining TSMP, Eugene practiced at one of the "Big Four" law firms in Singapore. Eugene is a firm believer that passion is the underlying basis for one's drive. And drive is the fundamental engine for one's growth and pursuits. This drive led Eugene to graduate top 25% of his cohort, won the inaugural Wee Chong Jin Scholarship in Law in 2012, as well as emerged champion in an international moot court competition held in Oxford in 2016. Eugene continues to contribute to the competition by being invited back to judge the regional rounds (held in Beijing) and preliminary sessions of the international rounds (held in Oxford) of the competition every year since 2018.

Eugene's practice areas are commercial litigation, international arbitration, competition and regulatory investigations. Eugene has represented clients from a wide variety of industries, including banking and financial services, hospitality and F&B, insurance, healthcare and pharmaceutical, energy oil and gas, real estate, professional services, technology and telecommunications.

In his spare time, Eugene likes to play the guitar, sing, and volunteers with various projects that work with the homeless and underprivileged in Singapore. Eugene is also an active volunteer at the Singapore Management University Legal Clinics and was awarded a certificate of appreciation in 2019 for his contributions.
