James focuses his practice on project finance and acquisition transactions within the power generation sector of the energy industry.

As part of the firm’s Energy and Infrastructure Team, James assists clients in structuring and closing transactions surrounding the development, financing, and acquisition and disposition of domestic and international facilities and technology for both conventional and renewable energy. James has represented parties to transactions of varying structure and complexity, including the sale of a coal refuse power generation facility to be converted into a Bitcoin mining facility. Also, James has represented parties to tax equity financing and loan transactions in the renewables sector.

Active in the firm’s pro-bono practice, James has assisted not-for-profit organizations in social justice initiatives. He is passionate in his representation of refugees seeking asylum or relief from removal.
