Transactional execution, strategic advising, resourcing

Jeff Peelen practices in the areas of public finance and project finance, with his team assisting clients on transactions across the country. Jeff also is an experienced, recognized leader within the firm and uses his knowledge of the talent and resources of the Quarles platform to assist clients of all kinds by connecting them to the Quarles lawyers and industry resources best suited to help drive their success. He focuses on:

  • Serving as underwriter's counsel and disclosure counsel on financings across the country.
  • Assisting on project finance transactions, with an emphasis on clean energy projects, by coordinating resources to address related securities law, tax and tax credit, construction, real estate and offtake matters.
  • Connecting clients to Quarles lawyers and industry resources for all manner of clients in wide-ranging industries, including financial services, renewable energy, health care and automotive.
  • Building meaningful client relationships, including by assembling dedicated client service teams, developing fixed fee and alternative fee structures, and delivering continuing education and other learning opportunities.

Jeff joined the firm in 1998 and has held numerous leadership positions within the firm, from leading the firm's growth strategy in the aftermath of the Great Recession, to re-envisioning the role and function of the firm's national practice groups, to serving on the firm's governing Executive Committee. These experiences provide Jeff with detailed knowledge of the talent and resources of the Quarles platform, making him an excellent counselor, strategist and client relationship lawyer.

Jeff is national chair of the Public Finance Practice Group.
