With more than 30 years of experience in high-stakes financial litigation and arbitration, Jeff is a formidable litigator who has dealt successfully with some of the most complex contracts and commercial transactions. He regularly advises major corporations, which value his mastery of sophisticated financial issues, and his focus on solving their problems and meeting their real-world goals.

Jeff leads the firm’s Trusts & Estates litigation practice and brings his deep knowledge of financial matters to complex trust-and-estate disputes. Families and wealth can be an explosive combination, but Jeff relishes the opportunity to obtain positive outcomes for his clients in the most difficult cases.

Professional Career

Significant Accomplishments

Served as a lead litigator in a securities arbitration proceeding before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority against Merrill Lynch/Bank of America. The claim involved sales by Merrill Lynch of hundreds of millions of dollars of auction-rate securities backed by subprime collateralized debt obligations.

Won a hard-fought family litigation about international trusts, real estate and a closely held business after a 30-day trial in New Jersey

Represented some of the most well-known companies in the world in financial disputes, including pursuing their claims against their non-paying and defaulting customers.

Fought for trustees, executors and beneficiaries in New Jersey and New York in disputes involving wills and trusts, such as claims of undue influence, impaired capacity and breach of fiduciary duty,

Won numerous victories in New York Supreme Court in complex financial disputes.
