Jenny Sandvig specialises in litigation and dispute resolution.

Jenny Sandvig started her legal career at the Attorney General’s Office, where she over a period of 7,5 years worked as a counsel and litigation attorney on a large number of cases in administrative law. At the Attorney General’s Office, Jenny was part of several teams, including international law, EEA law, and tax law. For a period of three years, Jenny was Policy Director for the Norwegian National Institution for Human Rights (NHRI). As part of the NHRI’s management, Jenny was responsible for their work on climate and environmental rights.

Jenny has extensive litigation experience from the district courts, courts of appeal and the Supreme Court. She has taken part in several cases for the Supreme Court, including a plenary hearing, as counsel or assistant. Jenny also has wide experience from international courts, such as the EFTA Court, the UN treaty bodies and the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR). She has litigated two cases for the ECtHR Grand Chamber; A and B v. Norway (24130/11 and 29758/11), which Norway won, and Verein KlimaSeniorinnen Schweiz et al. v. Switzerland (53600/20), which is still pending.

Jenny has authored Karnov’s commentary on the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). She is a co-author on “Klimarett” (Climate law), edited by Prof. Hans Chr. Bugge. Jenny has also co-written several articles published internationally, on the rule of law and climate rights.
