Jesús Andujar is the partner in charge of the Tax Department of the La Coruña office of Garrigues, the firm where he has pursued his professional career following a stint at Arthur Andersen. He specializes in tax law, with an emphasis on corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions and advisory services to financial institutions.

Among other fields, he is an expert in family asset taxation, supporting the Firm’s family office in decision making and tax advice relating to family businesses in shareholder/company relations.

In addition, he provides professional services both to companies in domestic tax matters, in tax and accounting year-end processes, in tax due diligence reviews, in international tax matters in foreign expansion processes; and to individuals in matters relating to wealth tax, inheritance and gift tax, nonresident income tax and personal income tax.

He is a legal adviser to companies, coordinating multidisciplinary teams in recurring legal support to companies, in company acquisition transactions, in family business restructuring processes, as well as separate property processes.

Listed as a recommended lawyer on Chambers 2013 (section Wealth Management) and he was also included in the ranking of Best Lawyers 2013 in the tax practice area. It has also been distinguished by this publication as "Best Lawyer of the Year 2020", in his practise area.

He was academic director of the Executive Master’s Degree in Tax Advice of the Garrigues Centro de Estudios and the NovaCaixaGalicia Instituto Tecnológico Empresarial. He is a lecturer on the Master’s Degree in Taxation at the Economists Association of La Coruña. Lecturer at the Caixanova Business School on the Master’s Degree in Tax Advice and Management of the Tax Management and Tax Planning course.

Lecturer on the Advanced Course on Business Law of the Garrigues Centro de Estudios and Harvard University.

He is also a speaker at myriad courses and seminars held by the Entrepreneurs Confederation and various Chambers of Commerce.

Jesús is a Member of the La Coruña Bar Association.
