Profile

With an innate courtroom presence and passion for advocacy, Yogi is a sought-after trial attorney known for his formidable influence.  He has found success in trial, appellate and administrative courts, including defending and prosecuting multi-million-dollar disputes.  Yogi is regarded by his colleagues and peers as a preeminent insurance coverage attorney who confidently navigates even the most complex legal landscapes.  He also represents Firm clients in any type of dispute requiring resolution, including attorney general investigations, consumer complaints, contracts, zoning, boundary disputes, wrongful death, eminent domain and construction defects.

Forged through his invaluable experience as a judicial law clerk for the Indiana Court of Appeals, Yogi provides clients with unparalleled insight into the intricacies of both trial and appellate advocacy.  As a result of this experience, Yogi implements a backward design strategy, which involves first identifying the clients’ ultimate objective and then implementing a cost-efficient strategy tailored to best serve their needs.

In the four corners of the office, Yogi is described as an outgoing and caring professional with a team-first mentality. He is a valued mentor to fellow associates and business professionals, and is no stranger to taking time out of his day to teach and counsel colleagues on various, complex legal issues. Yogi manages the office’s softball team and sits on various committees addressing recruiting, retention and health and wellness. He also takes pride in being the office’s three-time defending cornhole champion.

Yogi is currently serving his second term as Chair of the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana’s Insurance Coverage Section. In his free time, Yogi volunteers as pro bono counsel in the Southern District of Indiana, providing legal advice to incarcerated individuals. When given the chance, Yogi writes on various trial tactics and insurance coverage topics. His written work has been featured in the Indiana Law Review and Indiana Civil Litigation Review.

Outside the courtroom, Yogi has never met a stranger. He is a natural competitor, loyal fan of Arsenal F.C. and self-proclaimed amateur storm chaser. He resides in Greenwood, Indiana with his wife, son and golden retriever, Teddy.
