Profile
Joe Gaon focuses his practice on real estate law with an emphasis on land use matters. He represents a broad range of clients including developers, nonprofits, landowners, solar developers, architects, lenders, and purchasers in obtaining entitlements and permit approvals for development projects in both urban and rural settings. A natural problem solver, Joe deftly promotes his clients’ visions before government agencies and local planning commissions, seeking the right approvals to turn their concepts into reality.
Joe is skilled in all phases of land use matters, including representing clients before local decision-makers, working with neighbors and other community stakeholders, and defending those results before the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals.
Prior to joining Schwabe, Joe worked as a land use lawyer in New York City and Washington, D.C.
