Profile
Juan Reig has over twenty-five years’ experience as a tax consultant, having joined Garrigues in 1992 and been made a partner of the firm in 2004.
As a member of the Tax law department and head of the Accounting law area, Juan has extensive experience advising multinational companies — both Spanish and foreign —, as well as private equity funds in relation to their investment and divestment projects in Spain.
He specializes in advising on complex merger and acquisition operations, leveraged transactions, international securities issues, international taxation and projects involving senior management teams.
He has extensive experience advising clients on the accounting aspects of such transactions and is responsible for the coordination of Garrigues’ Accounting law area. He is a member of the Accounting Principles and Standards Committee of the Spanish Accounting and Business Administration Association (AECA) and regularly speaks at seminars on such matters.

Teaching Experience
Internally, he is in charge of the corporate income tax course for new hires. He also shares teaching duties with other professionals at the Firm on the accounting course for new hires.
