Profile

Julian Pecora is an associate who focuses his practice on complex litigation across multiple areas, including litigation and corporate disputes, real estate, and landlord-tenant disputes. His wide range of litigation experience includes high-stakes "bet-the-company" corporate cases, construction litigation, appeals, pharmaceutical and medical malpractice, estate litigation, and FELA litigation. Julian has worked with multiple Fortune 500 companies, providing strategic legal counsel to mitigate risks. He has extensive experience managing all phases of litigation, from pre-trial discovery to depositions, hearings, and settlements. He also serves as corporate advisory counsel, offering guidance on compliance, litigation strategy, and dispute resolution. Julian has also served as counsel of record in significant cases, including a reported opinion from the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia (State ex rel. Hope Clinic, PLLC v. McGraw, 245 W. Va. 171, 174, 858 S.E.2d 221, 224 (2021)).

Julian is actively involved in the West Virginia legal and professional community, serving as a board member of the Huntington Chamber of Commerce Young Professional Committee and the West Virginia State Bar's Young Lawyers Section. He is the founder of Counsel Connections, an initiative aimed at connecting young professionals in West Virginia with influential decision-makers across the state, including members of the judiciary, legislature, healthcare, and higher education. He has organized several events, such as Meet-Up 64, designed to foster networking and professional development along the I-64 corridor in West Virginia.

His leadership extends beyond the legal field, as he has developed relationships with key political and business figures in the U.S. and Germany, contributing to his recognition as a young leader in West Virginia. He has been named to the 40 Under 40 Class of 2024 by The State Journal and the Five People Under Thirty-Five Making a Difference by the Huntington Quarterly. Julian values integrity, personal growth, and making a lasting impact through his work and community involvement.

Julian's academic background is impressive. He earned his J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law, graduating in the top 12% of his class and was the best student in six of his classes. Each year he was awarded for having outstanding leadership and character. While in law school, he studied abroad in Geneva, Switzerland. He was a federal summer law clerk for Judge Michael J. Aloi for the Northern District of West Virginia and a Rule 10 attorney for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of West Virginia. He was a member of the United States Supreme Court Clinic where he was one the authors of a successful brief submitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the designated presenter had oral argument been requested.

Julian is an alumnus of two prestigious national programs: the United States Senate Youth Program and American Legion Boys Nation, where he met President Obama twice at the White House and was featured on CSPAN. During college, Julian addressed the West Virginia House of Delegates while interning for the state legislature, showcasing his early commitment to public service. He was later selected to represent the United States as a young professional leader in Germany, the EU, and NATO through the Atlantik-Brücke New Bridge Program Fellowship, becoming only the second West Virginian to receive this honor.
